Walking for Peace

Every step we take we have a purpose to where we are going. Every person walks down a different path and somehow in the end, we all realize that there is one thing we need. What we need is peace.

Every year, HWPL hosts a peace walk on May 25 and this is an event I have taken part in for 4 years now. Every year, I come to realize that peace is something we need and every year my heart for peace grows that much more. I don't know about everyone else, but the more I think about peace, the more my heart yearns for it. Why is that? Well, every year there are more events of war, death, and injustice all over the world. When we see this, we may just think about it or just post something on the internet with "Pray for (insert unfortunate event here)." However, rarely have I seen someone actually say, "This is ridiculous! I can't believe I am just standing here. There must at least be a group of people who really want to stop all this.

"Everyday I wake up asking myself, "was a child warm like I was today?" or "did others wake up to a sound of an alarm or did they wake up to the sounds of bombs?"

Take a step back and think about it? Think in the perspective of those who are dying because of one word: War. It is so difficult for us to think about these things because we don't go through it right? This is why we can at least do something. If we can all make it aware that there are groups out there such as HWPL who are fighting for peace, then we can all gather together not for the sake of a group, but for the sake of peace. Peace isn't just for you or me, but it is for everything that lives and breathes on this earth.

There is a peace walk on the 25th that many countries are taking part it. I challenge you to please get up and walk for peace. If you cannot, please promote peace and make it known that you are doing something. Thank you for fighting for peace and hopefully I can one day walk next to you for peace. Walk today, run tomorrow for peace.

HWPL Clean Up Clean Up Everybody Clean Up

In this world, there is a saying that, "it is the little things that count."

Following the HWPL 2nd Commemoration Peace Event, there were many who left full of peace within their hearts. However, little did we know that there were many who stayed behind to make sure that the earth is also at peace.

With much clean up to do, I was able to grab a glimpse of the hearts of the workers who volunteered to make this event happen. With every little action of picking up the trash on the field, I was truly amazed to see that everyone works with the heart of gratitude and thankfulness.

I am sure that everyone would be so tired after making the event happen, but it was as if another crew came in to do the cleaning work. It is never easy to want to clean up after hosting such a grandeur event, but some how everyone was willing. This is how I knew that peace isn't just an event, but it goes to even the small things such as picking up the trash.

From what I saw, there were even small children who were actually in the performances helping out with picking up the white flakes that came out during the ending performance of the HWPL event. That showed me that even the youth had the same heart as the elderly who were also doing the same.

Peace doesn't just come because we want it. It comes because there are people like this who truly make sure that peace is within the hearts of everyone. If no one cleaned up the stadium, who would? It would probably be those who have to be paid to clean up the trash. Would that be peaceful? It wouldn't.

Therefore, let us make sure that peace is achieved through the efforts of everyone and not just one person!

Who is Peace for?

Who is peace for?

  1. Does peace discriminate?
  2. Is peace only for a specified race?
  3. Is peace only for a specified gender?
  4. Is peace unjust?
  5. Is peace given by people?
  6. Is peace only for those who are richer?
Take your time to read this and answer on a piece of paper.

Who is peace for?

Peace is for those who don't just say peace and actually do something to achieve peace. What good is it if we only talk about peace and wait for peace to happen? Then we have to think as humans if we truly want to live in a world where peace can be seen of every corner street. Many people may think it is only about the survival of the fittest, but did you ever think that being the fittest is the ability to live altogether without eliminating one another? Does showing oneself to be stronger than another prove supremacy? It does not prove supremacy if others die out of one's desire to be greater than others. Peace is for those who understand the value of peace and the way to achieve it.

Is peace for a specific race, gender or people?

If peace was for a specific race, gender or people, then it would not be peace at all. When the rain falls from the sky does it only fall on certain people? It does not.

Is peace given by people?

If peace was given by people, why hasn't anyone given enough for everyone to share in it? This is because there has been no one who has given peace to the entire world. Peace cannot be given if no one has it. Therefore, we have to ask ourselves who has peace? That is a question I shall leave for you all to think about.

Peace can be achieved when everyone has the heart of peace. If anyone says "world peace" are you one who says "is possible!" or one who says "that would be great, but it's not realistic." We must first believe peace is possible then we can have the hope to drive us towards it. If one studies to be a doctor, but says "that would be great, but it's kind of impossible," will that person ever become a doctor? You all know the answer to that. In the same way, peace can be achieved if we first believe it can happen. Let us really have the heart and determination to be ones who make peace a reality!

Songs of Peace Inspire HWPL and the World

Never Shout Never - " Peace Song"

I've always wondered what the world would be like.
If we all just took, two steps back and prayed for peace.
I've always wondered how the air would smell.
Do you think that we be able to tell, without the smell of fear?
That we're going to hell.

There's a fire in my heart, you're not putting out.
There's no need to scream or shout.
Just pray for peace.
There's a Song in my soul, try and beat it out.
There's no need to scream or shout.
just pray for peace.

My heart was pure, my soul was clean .
Got ship away to a war zone, across the shining sea.
In the name of peace.
My mama told me "youngest son, don't lose your mind to that loaded gun".
And I lost it, now I'm on the run.

There's a fire in my heart, you're not putting it out.
There's no need to scream or shout.
Just pray for peace.
There's a song in my soul, try and beat it out.
There's no need to scream or shout.
just pray for peace.

There's a fire in my heart, you're not putting out.
There's no need to scream or shout.
Just pray for peace.
There's a song in my soul, try and beat it out.
There's no need to scream or shout.
Just pray for peace.
Just pray for peace.

Steven Universe - Peace & Love

Life and death and love and birth, and peace and war on the planet earth
is there anything that’s worth more than peace and love on the planet earth, Woah
Come on and sing it with me
Sing?
The words are linked to the key
Key?
If it’s a pattern, if it’s a pattern, then just repeat after me
Life and death and love and birth
Life and death and love and birth
Now you sing mi fa mi mi fa mi ti la
And peace and war on the planet earth
Yes, yes that’s it!
That’s so easy
Yeah but that’s what’s fun about it!
You should write something, you should write a song!
About what?
Whatever you’re thinking!
I guess we’re already here,
I guess we already know,
We’ve all got something to fear
We’ve all got nowhere to go
I think you’re all INSANE
Bbut I guess I am too…
Anybody would be if they were stuck on earth with you
Hahaha, yes!
Life and death and love and birth and
Life and death and love and birth and
Life and death and love and birth and
Peace and war on the planet earth
Is there anything that’s worth more
Is there anything that’s worth more
Is there anything that’s worth more
Than peace and love on the planet earth…

HWPL Knows What Peace is About

Peace posters that are made beautifully are held for the world to
see that HWPL is serious when it comes to achieving world peace.
Streets bustle, cars honk, bombs explode, babies are born, lights turn yellow, kids play outside, people sip on coffee on a cold day: these are things that happen everyday and everyday just seems like a simple day. However, little may people know that the whole world is turning to an organization called HWPL (Heavenly Culture World Peace Restoration of Light). The HWPL Chairman, Mr. Man Hee Lee, has sparked a new generation of peace movements that are taking over to bring about changes in thoughts that peace is actually possible. Recently in the month of September, the 1st Annual Commemoration of HWPL WARP Summit was launched to show that HWPL is not going to stop in its tracks until peace is achieved. While streets bustle in New York, in the Philippines the streets are bustling with youth who are marching for peace. While cars are honking in Los Angeles traffic, cars are honking in India in support for peace marchers who have posters showing that peace is possible. Bomb explode in the middle east, while fireworks are popping in South Korea in celebration of peace to come. Babies are born in a busy hospital, while others are hoping the next generation become the voice for peace. Lights turn yellow in a busy street, while yellow flowers representing peace are being planted and made into flower necklaces for those who are seeking to achieve peace. Kids are playing outside with hopes that they could be playing all day. All over the world people sip on their coffees to stay awake, while others sip on their coffee to stay awake to watch the live streams of the peace conference in South Korea.

When it comes to peace, we must remember that it's all about perspective. What kind of perspective? A perspective that peace is possible. Peace is possible when we all have our minds on the same hope for peace. HWPL all have their hopes for peace, are you ready to join and become a peace activist? More than us needing the world, the world needs us, and HWPL surely can help with that with the amount of work they are doing. Peace on!
